The Dodsons

Bill and Saundra Dodson have been the proud owners of the Kiwi Cat since 2005. It was during their 2003 trip to the America’s Cup in Auckland, New Zealand where Bill and Saundra first set eyes on the Kiwi Cat.  Their dream of owning her became a reality in 2005 when they purchased the boat and moved it to the Pacific Northwest.

Kiwi Cat was designed and built in New Zealand by ESPN TV Network for the filming of the 2000 America’s Cup and later, used again in the 2003 America’s Cup for its extreme stability, maneuverability, safety and comfort.

Meet Captain Bill

Bill is past Commander of Station Monterey – USCG Auxiliary and member for over 8 years while enjoying teaching boating safety and performing vessel safety examinations for the USCG.

Bill is a licensed captain (USCG approved), and enjoys operating the Kiwi Cat with parties up to six people while several other captains and crew operate the cruises 7 days a week.

The “Wine Yacht” is Napa Valley’s most recent new-comer to the valley and considered one of Napa’s premier attractions hosting gala events, wines tastings and special occasions while enjoying the romantic setting of the Napa River.
